This moderate route shows the surroundings of Echternach in all their diversity: rides through rocks and forest alternate with panoramic views from the heights of Melick or Thoull over Echternach Lake, the Sauer valley and the city center of Luxembourg's oldest town.

After starting at the youth hostel in Echternach, the route first goes around Echternach Lake. At the southeastern end of the lake, the route leads up over Roudenhaff to the village of Osweiler. Continuing uphill to Frombuerger Haff, where locally produced regional products are offered in a small farm shop. The route continues on narrow paths through the forest and then descends to Lauterbur with a place to stop, then a short section on the comfortable national cycling route "PC2". Through the picturesque valley "Leiwerdëllt" it goes up to Melickshaff and then back down to Echternach. Initially, the mountain bike route runs along the Sauer riverbank, then through the beautiful Echternach city park with the Rococo pavilion. Then it leads through the medieval lanes and finally over the height "Tull" with beautiful views back to the starting point at the youth hostel.
